My passion for interior design started at the age of ten when my fifth-grade teacher, Mrs. Dillion assigned the class to draft a story and provide illustrations. I built a model and presented my story to the class. The rest is history.

After studying IT for a year at York University, I decided to switch career paths and follow my passion for interior design. I earned my B.A. in Interior Design from Yorkville University (formally known as The International Academy of Design & Technology). Upon graduating in 2007, I honed my skills at large architectural/interior design firms as well as boutique studios, mentoring under some of the greatest leading design minds. I’ve been fortunate to complete interior design projects in all sectors, residential, hospitality, corporate, retail and healthcare.

I opened DE5IGN STUDIO in 2016 after the birth of my first child. Living in the east end of Toronto has been a true joy. It’s where I belong. The local shops, beach, parks, coffee shops and patios. Also, the sense of community is unbelievable. It wouldn’t be the same without the people. Having renovated my own home from top to bottom and down to the brick, I understand the architecture and construction of the century homes in the area. I love capturing and maintaining the character while providing custom built-ins for the storage we so desperately need.

What excites me the most is the beginning of the project when I get to learn more about the client. I love the brainstorming, gathering inspirations and space planning. It’s an incredible feeling when you see designs come to life at the end of a project.
